Bio
Dorothy is a resident of Sloatsburg who has been gardening over 20 years. Currently maintains a 28 ft x 52 ft raised-bed garden with 17 beds (~3 ft x 11 ft) containing a mixture of vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowering plants (many natives). Perennial vegetables and fruits: Asparagus, strawberries, currants, gooseberries, high-bush and low-bush blueberries, cranberries, sea kale, elderberries, Welch onions, chives, oregano, sage, and thyme. Garlic is planted each fall. Additionally, a small planting of crocus sativa (saffron) is maintained.Annual vegetables: typical annual vegetables and herbs.
