There’s a secret, tiny overgrown public park right on the main avenue in the middle of the beautiful little Village of Greenwood Lake. Few residents know it exists, its history, or its purpose. It has a name: Sonshine Park. It’s overgrown with opportunistic, somewhat inappropriate vegetation and needs extensive attention to return it to its pollinator garden life. The Greenwood Lake Lions, Grow Local Greenwood Lake, Tom Pearson/Raincarver Studios, Justin Morgan/Debosque Gardens, and the Village of Greenwood Lake have formed an incredible team to begin bringing about this amazing transformation. However, more help and funds will be needed as this major service project progresses.
